brittany & ashley attend keene state college in new hampshire; brittany is currently studying art and graphic design while ashley is working towards a b.a. in theatre arts/acting.
while sitting one weekend in the dining commons, the idea to travel to england arose; taking it seriously, it was decided that they would spend time creating things. brittany and ashley are both creatively and artistically inclined and this seemed like a great way to collaborate on some great ideas as well as raise money to go to england after graduating in the summer of 2012. the name "a-flat" came about after much thought and many dismissed and trashed ideas. love & music are two things both believe in thoroughly, two things that brittany and ashley are both passionate towards in some way or another.
this is the basis for their ideas and their inspiration. the small project has grown significantly since its origination back in february 2oo9, and it is hoped that by making these products and selling them to people with similar ideals and beliefs, england will become an experience and no longer just a goal.
